B [2020·原创] 3 “Creativity is the key to a bright future,” said education and business experts. Here is how schools and parents can help their children to develop their creativity. If Dick Drew had listened to his boss in 1925, we might not have a product that we now think of as of great importance: a new kind of tape. Drew worked for the Minnesota Mining Company. At work he invented a kind of material strong enough to hold things together. But his boss told him not to think more about the idea. Drew didn't stop and finally, using his own time, Drew improved the tape, which now is used everywhere by many people. And the company learned from its mistake. Now the company encourages its workers to spend 15% of their work time just thinking about and developing new ideas. Creativity is not something one is just born with. A person with high intelligence(智力) does not mean that he uses it creatively. Creativity is the matter of using your intelligence to think of new ideas that are good for something. We know that many schools have tried to develop students' creativity, but some teachers only want to develop students' reading, writing and math skills, and have to give up creativity for correct answers. Children from such schools can give correct answers, but they are unable to use them to work out problems. It is important to give children choices. From the earliest age, children should learn to make decisions and understand their results. Even though it's choosing between two kinds of food for lunch, decision-making helps thinking skills. As children grow older, parents should let their children decide how to use their time or spend their money, but not help them too much if they make the wrong decision. The child may have a hard time, but that is all right. 1、2题完成句子;3题简略回答问题;4题找出并写下全文的主题句;5题将文中画线句子译成汉语。 1.Some teachers only want to develop students' reading, writing and math skills instead of creativity for . 2.Parents should let children make decisions and . 3.What did Drew invent according to the passage? 4. 5. 3 【参考答案】 A 1.holds 2.have confidence in themselves 3.Four/4. 4.How can we overcome shyness? 5.做运动/锻炼比整天只看电视更好。 B 1.correct answers 2.understand their results 3.A kind of material strong enough to hold things together. 4.Here is how schools and parents can help their children to develop their creativity. 5.创造力不是与生俱来的。 3查看更多
