Maybe it can wait a little longer? Or it might just disappear if you ignore it long enough? You know the feeling.‎ According to Professor Piers Steel, of the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, 95% of people postpone important tasks at some point. But for some, procrastination (拖延症) isn’t occasional, but constant. Professor Joseph Ferrari, of DePaul University Chicago, found that 20% of the population of the world are habitual procrastinators. Sadly, delaying our duties isn’t very good for us. As the poet Edward Young wrote: “Procrastination is the thief of time”.‎ ‎【写作内容】‎ ‎1. Social Practice Social practice has been more and more popular in schools. Senior school students are asked to enter society and get some ideas of it. Surely, social practice has many advantages. Firstly, social practice can offer students a chance to contact society and meet different kinds of people. In this way students can gain some precious social experience, which will be useful to their future career. Secondly, students can apply what they have learned in class to practical work, thus knowing themselves more clearly. Thirdly, social practice can bring them some financial reward and make them more independent of their family.‎ However, some problems may arise if no correct guidance is made. For example, some students get overly interested in social practice and want to work full-time and earn more money, thus neglecting their studies. And some students are likely to get in touch with the dark side of society, which will affect their future values.‎ In order to carry out social practice smoothly, students should first know their objective. They should put their studies in the first place and see social practice just as a useful supplement(补充), so they ought to try to strike a balance between social practice and their studies.‎ ‎【写作内容】‎ ‎1. ‎ 范文一:‎ The traffic issue is a hard nut to crack. It not only affects our everyday life, but may also threaten people’s lives. The three selections presented above are typical examples.‎ Quite a few things give rise to the traffic problem. In spite of the large-scale construction of roads and highways, there is still much room for improvement, because of the ever increasing number of cars these years. What’s worse, some drivers, cyclists and pedestrians do not think it vital to obey traffic rules.‎ In fact, traffic rules are part of the rules and regulations closely related to public order. Without them, people could not enjoy harmony or the country would be in chaos. But rules alone don’t secure an orderly society. It is the people who obey the rules that matter. It is everybody’s duty to observe them to keep our society in order and going on the right track.‎ 范文二 Despite the fact that the Chinese generally read more books compared with the previous years, the past year witnessed a significant decline in the number of books read by those under age 17, especially the middle school students.‎ Quite a few things give rise to the problem. Due to the fierce competition, the load of study for middle school students gets heavier and heavier as their grade advances, leaving little time for reading. What's worse, electronic devices and various forms of entertainment have taken what little there is of their spare time.‎ To deal with the problem, we ourselves should know the significance of reading for our growth and develop a good reading habit. For me, I will try to take part in various reading activities to enhance my enthusiasm in reading. Moreover, I will make plans for reading on the monthly basis. Only in this way can I read and enjoy more books.‎ 范文三 The two selections presented above clearly reveal that almost everyone is held down by procrastination to some degree. In addition, people suffering from deep procrastination tend to experience more pain.‎ Many factors may be responsible for procrastination. To begin with, the task people are involved in seems too difficult to complete. Besides, due to an overconfidence in their abilities, people often fail to manage their time efficiently. Moreover, an individual may also choose to procrastinate because the job is not challenging enough. Procrastination has negative effects on our life, such as causing stress and anxiety, leading to health problem, impeding our ability to achieve our goal and so on.‎ So it’s absolutely necessary for us to take action to beat it. Firstly, we can write down our tasks in a visible place with their due dates. Additionally, we can tell our family or friends about our goal because they will motivate us along the way. Last but not least, reward ourselves for a job well done.‎ 范文 四 ‎ Social practice enriches students’social experience , put their knowledge into practice and rewards them with money. However, it may affect their studies. Therefore, students should balance their studies and social practice. ‎ ‎ Undoubtedly, social practice benefits students in many ways. Through social practice they learn what they can’t learn in class. Gradually they will become strong-willed, and enthusiastic in study and life.‎ ‎ Two years ago, I organized a team of classmates to a Charity House where we told stories to the blind, drew beautiful pictures for the deaf. The visit made me realize that helping others should not be only an empty talk and that life is worth cherishing.‎ ‎ Of course, we must strike a balance between study and social practice. After all, senior school stage is a vital period for students to gain knowledge. Therefore, I strongly suggest that we make full use of our spare time and holiday to participate in that. ‎
