She said people would not even notice a difference in taste with three grams, or one half teaspoon, less salt per day. The team also included researchers at Stanford and Columbia University.‎ ‎ The government says the average American man eats ten grams of salt a day. The American Heart Association advises no more than three grams for healthy people. Less salt can lead to lower blood pressure.‎ ‎ New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is leading effort called the National Salt Reduction Initiative. They say that food companies and restaurants are free and they know what to do. The government shouldn't make any decisions instead of them.‎ ‎ Mayor Bloomberg has already succeeded in other areas, like requiring fast food places in the city to list calorie information. When we fail the exam, encouraging words from our teachers or parents make us work harder at our lessons.‎ 5‎ ‎ Encouraging words can go quite a long way. They lift people up. For example, encouraging words to someone who is sad can help them make it through the day. Words can have a powerful effect on your brain. And it will in turn(相应地) have a great influence on your action.‎ ‎ Everything you do depends on what you choose to do.
