Switzer was at mile two when race manager, Jock Semple, ran up and tried to get her out of the race, shouting, "Get the hell out of my race!" But with her boyfriend knocking Semple back, she finished in four hours and twenty minutes.‎ To mark the 50th anniversary(周年纪念) of her first run, Switzer, now 70, plans to repeat the 26.2-mile journey this month. In the race, Switzer will wear the number 261, the same one she wore in her run 50 years ago. Her personal best performance for marathon was in Boston in 1975, three years after women were officially allowed to enter it. Her number might not show up in the Boston Marathon again, but Switzer's movement goes beyond letting women enter that race.‎ Founding a nonprofit (非盈利的) international women's running club, Switzer chose the ‎ name 261 Fearless. "My goal is to reach women in places right now where they're not allowed to leave the house alone, drive a car or get an education," Switzer said. Imagine never having to worry about traffic, stoplights, or road construction. A flying car can get somewhere much faster than one traveling by road. On the other hand, imagine having to avoid planes and other flying cars. Also, what if your battery (电池) dies when you arc in the air? And, how will you know where to get down on the ground?‎ Kitty Hawk is a tech company supported by Google co-founder, Larry Page. Kitty Hawk president, Sebastian Thrun, helped start Google’s self-driving car project. Kitty Hawk expects its first flying cars will go on sale by the end of this year.‎ According to the Kitty Hawk website, the car is electric-powered and will be able to travel up to 40 kilometers an hour. As of now, the car can only be flown over fresh water. However, Kitty Hawk has not yet announced the price.‎ At a conference last week, Uber announced plans for flying taxis to begin carrying passengers. Unlike the Kitty Hawk company, Uber does not plan to build a flying car. Instead, it will use the resources of partner companies.‎ Uber says its flying taxis will use electric power and can travel up to 241 kilometers an hour. The company said that could cut the travel time between San Francisco and San Jose, California from 2 hours on the road to 15 minutes in the air. Riders can use the Uber app to book a flying taxi to take them to their destinations. The company has not yet said how costly air taxi travel would be compared to road taxi travel.‎ ‎28. What still needs to be considered before putting flying cars to use?‎ A. How to avoid buildings. B. Where to get a permit.‎ C. How to increase speed. D. Where to land.‎ ‎29. The underlined word “it” in Paragraph 5 refers to .‎ A. the Kitty Hawk company B. a flying car C. the Uber company D. a flying taxi ‎30. what do Kitty Hawk flying cars and Uber flying taxis have in common?‎ A. They can be booked by downloading the Uber app.‎ B. Their speed can reach 241 kilometers an hour.‎ C. They are both powered by electricity.‎ D. They can only travel over fresh water.‎ ‎31. Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage?‎ D A warm drink of milk before bed has long been the best choice for those wanting a good night’s sleep. But now a study has found it really does help people nod off—if it is milked from a cow at night.‎ ‎ Researchers have discovered that “night milk” contains more melatonin(褪黑激素), which has been proven to help people feel sleepy and reduce anxiety.‎ ‎ The study, by researchers from Seoul, South Korea, involved mice being fed with dried milk powder made from cows milked both during the day and at night.‎ ‎ Those given night milk, which contained 10 times the amount of melatonin, were less active and less anxious than those fed with the milk collected during daytime, according to the study published in The Journal of Medicinal Food.‎ ‎ Night milk quickened the start of sleep and caused the mice to sleep longer.‎ ‎ While the effect of cows milk harvested at different time has not been tested on humans up to now, taking melatonin drugs has been suggested to those who are struggling to fall asleep at night.‎ ‎ Previous studies have also indicated that milk can be excellent for helping sleep because of the calcium content, which helps people to relax.‎ ‎ Milk is also sugar-free and additive-free with nutritionists recommending skimmed milk as the best choice before bed as it is the least fattening. The more fat you take in before bedtime, the greater burden you will put on your body at night.‎ ‎32. According to the text, the mice fed with daytime milk_______.‎ A. were more anxious B. started sleep more easily ‎ C. were less active D. woke up later ‎33. Which of the following is true of melatonin according to the text?‎ A. It’s been tested on mice for ten times. B. It can make people more energetic.‎ C. It exists in milk in great amount. D. It’s used in sleeping drugs.‎ ‎34.What can be a suitable title for the text?‎ A. Night Milk and Sleep B. Fat, Sugar and Health ‎ C. An Experiment on Mice D. Milk Drinking and Health ‎35. How does the author support the theme of the text?‎ A. By giving examples B. By providing research results C. By explaining statistical data D.
