(The teacher stands in front of the class and point to the door and let a student to act.) T: Did you know the letters? Ss: I think letter …. (The teacher looks at individual students, asking this question and prompts them to answer.) T: What’s the initial letter of the word: door? S1: D T: What’s the initial letter of the word: daddy? S2: D (The teacher gets three or four students to come to the front of the classroom.) (The teacher explains to the students: what’s the function of a letter?)
