Wilson rushed him to the emergency room. He received 26 stitches (缝针) from the corner of his eye to the bridge of his nose.‎ I was on an airplane flying home. Wilson drove directly to the airport after they left the doctor’s office. He greeted me at the gate and told me Leon was waiting in the car.‎ ‎“Leon?” I questioned. I remember thinking the waves must have been terrible that day.‎ ‎“He’s been in an accident, but he’s going to be fine.”‎ A traveling working mother’s worst nightmare had come true. I ran to the car so fast that the heel of my shoe broke off. I swung open the door, and my son with the patched eye was leaning forward crying, “Oh, Ma, I’m so glad you’re home.”‎ I cried in his arms telling him how awful I felt about not being with him.‎ ‎“It’s okay, Mom,” he comforted me. “You don’t know how to surf anyway.”‎ ‎“What?” I asked, confused by his logic.‎ ‎“I’ll be fine. The doctor says I can go back in the water in eight days.”‎ I wanted to tell him he wasn’t allowed to go near water again until he was 35, but instead I bit my tongue and prayed he would forget about surfing.‎ For the next seven days he kept pressing me to let him surf again. One day after I had repeated “No” to him for the 100th time, he beat me at my own game.‎ ‎“Mom, you taught us never to give up what we love.”‎ I gave in.‎ Back then Leon was just a boy with a passion for surfing. Nearly 200 families decide what the farm will produce — and they will eventually eat — and employ a farmer to tend to the animals for meat and eggs and grow the dozen kinds of fruits and vegetables.‎ ‎“The main aim of the members is to eat natural products, produced near to where they live, in a more sustainable (可持续的)way,” said Douwe Korting, co-leader of the Boxtel Cooperative, in the southern Netherlands. People are really starting to see that a change toward a different way of eating is essential," he added.‎ It costs 2,000 euros ($2,200) to join the collective (集体的)farm, which is 10 minutes by bicycle from the town, and then a weekly fee of around 10 euros per person.‎ In return, members receive the food they want and stress the importance of knowing what they eat is local and seasonal.‎ Known as Herenboderderij, or People's Farming, the guiding principle is that everything centers on the needs and riches of nature, even while using new technologies, ” said its founder Geert van der Veer. My train was running a little late, but that was no big problem 一 I could text him to say I would be delayed. He would understand. But.. . where was my mobile phone? I had that familiar sinking feeling. Yes, I'd left it at home.‎ No mobile phone . I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling anxious, on edge and worried when I don't have my phone with me. In fact, I know I'm not alone: two-thirds of us experience this “ nomophobia".‎ That’s according to a study which surveyed 1,000 people in the UK about their relationship with mobile phones, which says we check our mobile phones 34 times a day, that women are more "nomophobic" than men, and that 18-24-year-olds are the most likely to suffer fear of being without their mobiles: 77% of them say they are unable to be apart from their phones for more than a few minutes.‎ Do you have " Homophobia” ?‎ ‎•You never turn your phone off.‎ ‎•You obsessively (着迷似地)check for texts, missed calls and emails.‎ ‎•You always take your phone to the bathroom with you.‎ ‎•You never let the battery run out.‎ It's funny to think that around 20 years ago the only people with mobile phones would be businesspersons carrying their large, plastic "bricks”. Of course, these days, mobile phones are everywhere. Its subscriptions has outnumbered people across the world.‎ And when there are more phones than people in the world, maybe it's time to ask who really is in charge? Are you in control of your phone, or does your phone control you? So, what happened with my university friend? When I arrived a few minutes late he just laughed and said: "You haven't changed at all 一 still always late!” And we had a great afternoon catching up, full of jokes and stories, with no interruptions and no nagging (唠叨的)desire to check my phone.‎ Not having it with me felt strangely liberating. Maybe I'll leave it at home on purpose next time.‎ ‎32. What does the underlined word "nomophobia" in Paragraph 2 refer to?‎ A. The fear of being out of mobile phone contact.‎ B. The addiction to keeping mobile phones at hand .‎ C. The feeling of being alone and left behind.‎ D. The suffering of being anxious and worried.‎ ‎33. We can infer around 20 years ago the mobile phone according to the author.‎ A. was only afforded by businessmen B. was as heavy as a brick C. was seldom seen and accepted D. was inconvenient to use ‎34. What's the author's attitude towards his experience without mobile phones?‎ A. Worried. B. Favorable. C. Neutral. D. Critical.‎ ‎35. What's the best title for the passage?‎ A. Using Mobile Phones or Not 第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)‎ 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多 余选项。‎ 第二节 (共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分) ‎ 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。‎ As is often the case, when we wake up feeling sleepy and with dark circles under eyes, many of us often make a decision: “I’m going to bed earlier tomorrow!” we are so determined. 36 We are still absorbed in what we are doing without realizing it is already too late the next day. This behavior is called “bedtime procrastination” (睡眠拖延症), and results from lack of self-control and our body clock.‎ ‎ 37 According to a study carried out by a group of health psychologists, 53 percent of the 2,400 participants said they didn’t follow their sleep schedule, delaying it at least twice a week. They delayed bedtime because they couldn’t stop doing other trivial things (琐事), which were keeping them up in the first place.‎ People who generally have trouble resisting temptations (诱惑) and following their intentions firmly are also more likely to delay going to bed. They find it hard to control themselves. 38 Our body clock also plays an important role when it comes to bedtime. Those who get up late are more likely to postpone their bedtime than those who wake early every morning. Night owls would go to bed late at the very beginning of the weekday, even though they had to get up early for work and school. 39 ‎ Therefore, if we want to cure our bedtime procrastination, the intention to go to bed earlier is not enough. 40 We should have a clear understanding that bedtime procrastination is a big problem. The choices we make could turn out to be pretty important for our health. A. Bedtime procrastination is a common problem. B. It will have extreme effect on our health sooner or later. C. Yet, lack of self-control is not the only thing to blame. D. Unfortunately, chances are that we don’t stick to our promise. E. It’s their special body clock that plays a part in delaying their bedtime. F. Biological processes need to support this intention. G.So we just need to take action to change our sleep model.‎ 第三部分 语言知识运用(共两节,满分45分)‎ 第一节(共20小题;每小题1.5分,满分30分)‎ 阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出可以填入空白处 的最佳选项。‎ Zigfried, a little mouse, blew his breath on the frosty window of the farmhouse and rubbed it to see the outside.
