Why is it so hard to effectively conduct teamwork in those things?‎ One way we employ teamwork in everyday lives is by becoming a parent. It is a parent’s job to teach their children the fundamental skills and give them the knowledge they need to be successful in life. So why is teamwork disappearing in this aspect of our lives? Well in today’s society, we find that more and more parents are experiencing that the teamwork is a one-sided thing. According to a 2009 report from the US, there are 13.7 million single parents raising their children in the US and this amount could be due to the fact that parents are not stepping up ‎ and taking responsibility for their children or they don’t have the means to, so they leave one parent to do it by themselves. This is a saddening fact, but it reflects that effective teamwork is losing ground in the parenting aspect of our everyday lives.‎ Another place where teamwork affects us greatly is in our jobs. It doesn’t matter if you are a small or large company; if you have at least one employee and yourself, then teamwork will be present. I have noticed that with the current economic recession(衰退), people are racing to grab jobs but the quality of people’s work has gone down greatly. It just appears to me that people do not take part in their work any more. They want to get to work and work as fast as they can, just to receive the paycheck, but their quality standards fly right out the window. This type of behavior is where I think teamwork is losing its ground in the workforce. There are too many people who want to work independently and forget they are a part of a team.‎ As you can see, we run into the aspects of teamwork in just about everything we do. Do you believe teamwork is really losing ground in today’s society? I think it is. What’s your opinion?‎ ‎41.Why does teamwork disappear in the parenting aspect of our daily lives?‎ A. Parents have no time to spare with their children.‎ B. Parents have no chances to teach their children about it.‎ C. Many children are often brought up by a single parent.‎ D. Many children are independent to deal with their matters.‎ ‎42.Teamwork is losing ground in workforce mainly because _______.‎ A. workers don’t like to work together with others B. workers’ sense is affected by economic recession C. workers want to prove they are more capable D. fewer workers are employed to save money ‎43.The author wants us to believe his opinion by _______.‎ A. listing some data B. making comparisons C. asking some questions D. analyzing some cases ‎44.What does the underlined phrase “fly right out the window” in Paragraph 3 mean?‎ A. Disappear. B. Improve. C. Increase. D. Matter.‎ ‎45.What is the author’s main purpose of writing the passage?‎ A. To show the importance of housework. B. To introduce how teamwork works now.‎ C. To tell us the current economic recession. D. To show his attitude towards ‎ teamwork.‎ ‎【答案】‎ ‎41.C ‎42.B ‎43.D ‎44.A ‎45.D ‎【解析】‎ ‎【分析】‎ 试题分析:这是一篇议论文。 According to a report, there are 13.7 million single parents raising their children in the US and this could be due to the fact that parents don't take responsibility for their children,so they leave one parent to do it alone"以及"This is a saddening fact, but it reflects that effective teamwork is losing ground in the parenting aspect of our everyday lives." I have noticed that with the current economic recession(衰退期),people are racing to grab jobs but the quality of people's work has gone down greatly"可知,由于经济衰退,人们忙于找工作合作意识淡薄,即经济衰退影响了工人们的观念,故选B。‎ ‎43. 由第二段第五句"…due to the fact that parents don't take responsibility for their children,so they leave one parent to do it alone"和第六句"…teamwork is losing ground in the parenting aspect of our everyday lives"及第三段"Another place where teamwork affects us greatly is in our jobs…" They want to get to work and work as fast as they can, just to receive the paycheck, but their quality standards"可知,人们去工作,想要尽快工作,只是为了获得薪水,由but推断,但是工作的质量水平就消失了,因此推断"fly right out ‎ the window"意思是"消失",故选A。‎ ‎45. Is teamwork out of date? Why it is so hard to effectively conduct teamwork in those things?" Do you believe teamwork is really losing ground in today's society?I think it is"可推断,作者写这篇文章是为了表明自己的态度,认为现在人们对团队合作意识观念淡薄缺失,故选D。‎ This little girl has big baseball dreams. Dawson has Poland Syndrome(波兰综合征) that caused her to be born without the three middle fingers of her right hand.‎ Hailey Dawson throws out the first pitch using a 3-D printed hand at a Baltimore Orioles Game in 2015. Dawson has worn the ‘flexy” hand since she was four, which is controlled by fishing wire. Brain-computer Interface (BCI) technology could help people with disabilities send commands to machines.‎ Recently, two scientists, Jose Millan and Michele Tavella from the Federal Polytehnic School in Lausanne, Switzerland, showed a small robotic wheelchair directed by a person’s thoughts. In the laboratory, Tavella operated the wheelchair just by thinking about moving his left or right hand. He could even talk as he watched the vehicle and guided it with his thoughts.‎ ‎“Our brain has billions of body cells(细胞). These send signals through the spinal cord(脊髓) to the body part to give us the ability to move. But spinal cord injuries or other conditions can prevent these weak electrical signals from reaching the body part.” Tavella says. “Our system allows disabled people to communicate with outer world and also to control machines.”‎ The scientists designed a special cap for the user. This head cover picks up the signals from the scalp(头皮) and sends them to a computer. The computer finds meanings of the signals and commands the wheelchair with an engine. The wheelchair also has two cameras that tell objects in its path. They help the computer react to commands from the brain.‎ Prof. Millan, the team leader, says “Scientists keep improving the computer software that finds meanings of brain signals and turns them into simple commands. The practical possibilities that BCI technology offers to disabled people can be grouped in two kinds: communication, and controlling objects. One example is this wheelchair.‎ He says his team has set two goals. One is testing with real patients, so as to prove that this is a technology they can get advantages from. And the other is to ensure that they can use the technology over a long period of time.‎ ‎51.BCI is a technology that can _______.‎ A. help to update computer systems B. control a person’s thoughts C. help the disabled to recover D. connect the human brain with computers ‎52.How did Tavella operate the wheelchair in the laboratory?‎ A. Scientists have been looking for ways to link the brain with computers.‎ B. The wheelchair designed by Millan and Tavella is directed by a person’s thoughts.‎ C. Spinal cord injuries can prevent these weak electrical signals from reaching the body part.‎ D. The wheelchair has been put in use and benefited real patients.‎ ‎【答案】‎ ‎51.D ‎52.B ‎53.C ‎54.B ‎55.D ‎【解析】‎ ‎【分析】‎ 试题分析:这是一篇科教类说明文。 由第一段的“...scientists have been searching for ways to link the brain with computers.Brain-computer interface(BCI) technology could help people with disabilities send commands to machines.” 由第三段的“...Tavella operated the wheelchair just by thinking about moving his left or right hand.” 由第四段的“The scientists designed a special cap for the user. This head cover picks up the signals from the scalp(头皮) and sends them to a computer. The computer finds meanings of the signals and commands the wheelchair with an engine. ”可知,首先头皮接受人的思想信号,接着特殊的帽子从头皮上获取信息,再传到计算机上,最终计算机操作轮椅前进。故选C。‎ ‎54.细节理解题。由文章倒数第二段的“The practical possibilities that BCI technology offers to disabled people can be grouped in two kinds...” 由最后一段的“One is testing with real patients, so as to prove that this is a technology they can get advantages from. And the other is to ensure that they can use the technology over a long period of time.” 例如小题5,由最后一段的句子“One is testing with real patients, so as to prove that this is a technology they can get advantages from. And the other is to ensure that they can use the technology over a long period of time.” Now I can say with certainty that I had never understood others suffering from the loss of a dear person. For my part, it used to be a pity and sympathy. It was when my dear mother died that I started to understand all those people who lost someone they loved. There are perhaps no exact words to describe this pain, at least none can be used on this planet. This intolerable pain tears you apart, which is like a stone on your heart and makes tears run down your face with each recollection of the dear person who has passed away. Time is unlikely to lighten this hurt, no matter what others claim.‎ Every morning I still wake up to think that my mom is there, drinking her tea in the room and watching her favorite programs. Then the truth rushes up to me suddenly and I realize that it is just a dream hanging around me and a sense of great sadness falling upon me. Despite my apparent peace and brightness, I feel empty inside. My mother’s death was the most painful experience I’ve gone through. It was the most disastrous loss in my life.‎ The memory of my mother will follow me wherever I go. She was there to show me my first butterfly and my first dress. She was there when I made my first step. She taught me to smile and laugh. Moreover, she listened to all my fears with gentle patience which can only be admiring. Her eyes were so soft and full of comprehension. My mother’s greatest desire was only to offer affection and care to her family. When I had really bad times, she washed me with her healing sympathy and got my attention away from bad feelings with her brilliant humor. My mother was the only person I could really rely on.‎ Now I want to tell everyone in the world: please cherish the time (every day, every minute and even every second) spent with your dearest one from now on!‎ ‎56.What does the underlined word “intolerable” mean in Paragraph 1? (1 word)‎ ‎_________________________________________________________‎ ‎57.How did the author feel after her mother’s death? (No more than 5 words)‎ ‎_________________________________________________________‎ ‎58.What was the author’s mother doing in her dream? (No more than 10 words)‎ ‎_________________________________________________________‎ ‎59.How did the author’s mother help her go through the hard times? (No more than 15 words)‎ ‎_________________________________________________________‎ ‎60.What do you think of the author’s mother? Please explain. (No more than 20 words)‎ ‎_________________________________________________________‎ ‎【答案】‎ ‎56.Unbearable.‎ ‎57.Sad and empty.‎ ‎58.She was drinking tea and watching TV.‎ ‎59.By washing her with healing sympathy and getting her attention away with brilliant humor.‎ ‎60.(Open)She is a devoted and caring mother, because she always expressed her love and sympathy to the author.‎ ‎【解析】‎ ‎【分析】‎ 试题分析:这是一篇夹叙夹议文。 由上文“There are perhaps no exact words to describe this pain, at least none can be used on this planet.”可知,作者认为世界上没有词语来描述这种痛苦,结合下文“tears you apart, which is like a stone on your heart and makes tears run down your face with each recollection of the dear person who has passed away. ”,这种痛苦把你撕碎,就像一块石头刻在你的心上,每想起逝去的人,眼泪就流下你的脸庞。 因此推断这是一种难以忍受的痛苦。Intolerable意思是“难以忍受的”,限定词数1词,故用unbearable代替。故答案是unbearable。‎ ‎57.考查细节理解。由第二段的“Then the truth rushes up to me suddenly and I realize that it is just a dream hanging around me and a sense of great sadness falling upon me. Despite my apparent peace and brightness, I feel empty inside.” 故答案为Sad and empty。‎ ‎58. 由第二段的“Every morning I still wake up to think that my mom is there, drinking her tea in the room and watching her favorite programs. ‎ ‎”可知,在作者的梦里,作者的母亲在喝茶,看她最喜欢的电视节目。限定字数10词。故答案为She was drinking tea and watching TV.‎ ‎59. 由第三段的“When I had really bad times, she washed me with her healing sympathy and got my attention away from bad feelings with her brilliant humor. ”可知,在作者日子难过时,母亲用她的同情和幽默把她的注意力从不好的感情中转移了出来。限定字数15词。故答案为By washing her with healing sympathy and getting her attention away with brilliant humor.‎ ‎60. She is a devoted and caring mother, because she always expressed her love and sympathy to the author.‎ 评卷人 得分 五、其他 ‎61.He will make progress only in this way. Thank you for listening.‎ ‎【答案】Hello, everyone. I’d like to share my idea about the topic of communicating with our Parents.‎ Parents are the people devoted to us most, and that is why it is necessary to keep a good relationship with them. Here are my ideas on how to make it easier to communicate with parents.‎ First, we should respect and trust our parents. Don’t be rude to them even if they have done something wrong. They have experienced more and always try their best to protect us from dangers. Second, if we often share with them about our life and experiences, we will know each other better. What’s more, we can often tell our parents how much we love them. If sometimes we don’t agree with our parents’ decisions, we should try to put ourselves into their shoes and we will soon understand them.‎ Remember that what they really want is only the best for us.‎ That’s all.
