They have lived a simple and peace life until the husband was diagnosed with a rare illness. A lot of attempt had been made to hide the fact which the old man developed a serious illness. Therefore, he finally learned the secret. Instead of losing his heart the old man hugged his wife tightly, convincing her that he wouldn't easily give up. Many a person were moved to tears, included me. I always believe God helps those whoever help themselves. 从“until the husband was diagnosed with a rare illness”看,主句表达过去的过去,因此用过去完成时。 6.Therefore→However 考查连词。 8.were→was 考查主谓一致。 Dear_David, How_is_everything_going_these_days?_My_school_is_going_to_hold_a_Tea_Culture_Festival_next_week._And_I_am_writing_to_invite_you_to_give_us_a_talk_on_“British_Tea_Culture”.
