The Swiss maestro (大师) won his record eighth Wimbledon title this month, defeating Croatian Marin Clinic in the final, and going to the entire tournament without dropping a single set.‎ The 36-year-old now has 19 Grand Slam (大满贯) titles, the most in history for a male tennis player. Bollettieri, who has coached some of the most successful tennis players ever including Andre Agassi and Jim Courier, believes Federer stands out from the rest due to all the efforts he makes on and off the court. “When you get to know the greatest players of all time, I believe you will join with many commentators in saying Roger is standing in a class of his own,” Bollettieri told Saturday Sport. ”He is magnificent (出色的) in expecting what to do. He has improved his backhand and also he is hitting the ball much earlier, and he is one of the best placement server (发球员) in the game. ”‎ His management team headed by Tony Godsick takes care of his mind and body, time with his family, time with his foundation and time with rest. He also respects the game and his opponent. Despite his impressive record, Federer has struggled against the other top players of this generation, including Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Along with Andy Murray, they are known as tennis’ “big four,” and Federer has a combined 50-57 record against the other three during his career.‎ However, Bollettieri doesn’t think that will have any impact on Federer’s greatness if he keeps on playing the way he is at his age. Bollettieri said, “Age is only a number. It is how you feel inside you. I believe a lot of people today can do a lot better if their mindset is to say I will get better every day and never use the word ‘retirement.’ When you worry about losing, it is more difficult to win.”‎ ‎24. Being positive is very important.‎ C. One should learn how to grasp an opportunity.‎ D. One should learn to adapt oneself to changing circumstances C ‎“Children start putting their fingers in their noses as infants,” says Sarah Springer, MD, of Kids Plus Pediatrics in Pittsburgh. “As soon as they have motor control of their fingers, they’ll find holes where their fingers can fit. It’s not a worry—just a normal part of how they explore and learn.”‎ In order to help your child to stop engaging in the behavior it’s important to understand why they may start the habit in the first place, according to the University of Michigan Health System. Nose-picking can be a result of boredom, sleepiness, falling asleep, relaxation or coping. In most instances, nose-picking is likely just a phase (阶段) and the child will eventually quit it.‎ There isn’t much parents can do to stop the behavior of nose-picking, as it’s a normal part of being a kid, Dr. Springer says. Parents are advised to ignore the behavior and not show frustration, as this won’t help encourage your child to stop picking their nose. Instead, Dr. Springer says to help your child learn to blow their ‎ nose once they are four or five years old and talk to your child about keeping their hands clean to avoid spreading germs.‎ Take note of the season or climate, too, as dry air or cold can increase the occurrence of nose-picking. Parents should use a humidifier (增湿器) in these conditions to help nasal secretions (鼻分泌物) stay moist. Putting petroleum jelly (凡士林) a few times a day inside the nose can help with irritation and minimize picking.‎ Once your child enters school, it’s inevitable for them to see and pick up bad habits, Dr. Springer said. Nose-picking is a common habit, even among adults and as children age most will realize it’s not an acceptable behavior. ‎ ‎“Nose picking is a normal part of childhood,” Dr. Springer says. “Most kids will become conscious of the social stigma (羞耻) associated with it, and will eventually stop picking, at least in public.”‎ ‎28. What does Sarah Springer think of kids’ picking their nose?‎ A. Discouraging. B. Embarrassing.‎ C. Common but disgusting. D. Usual and ordinary.‎ ‎29. What does the underlined word ‘‘it” in Para. 2 refer to?‎ A. The result. B. Nose-picking. C. The instance. D. The phase.‎ ‎30. What’s Para. 3 mainly about?‎ A. What boredom can lead to.‎ B. The occurrence of nose-picking.‎ C. How kids avoid spreading diseases.‎ D. How to deal with a child’s picking his/her nose.‎ ‎31. Who are the target readers of the passage?‎ A Parents B Children C Educators D Doctors D SOUTH KOREA—Amid an intense atmosphere at the packed Gang-neung (江陵市) Ice Arena , Wu pushed off strong in the final, gaining an edge in the first corner. He expanded that to a clear lead midway through the race before finishing with a ‎ world-record time of 39.584 seconds, claiming China’s first gold medal at the Pyeongchang Games in the Republic of Korea.‎ Wu’s victory triggered a standing ovation from hundreds of Chinese spectators at the arena who flew red flags while clapping hard to celebrate the hard-fought win.‎ Riding on the momentum (势头), Wu and his teammates added another silver medal in the men’s 5,000m team relay, bringing the Chinese delegation its ninth overall medal in Pyeongchang.‎ ‎“I carried a lot of pressure into the final today after what we went through previously. I am just so proud of myself to have been able to hold on and bring out my best in the race,” said Wu, who won the silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia.‎ Entering the Games as the country’s biggest golden hope, the Chinese short-track team suffered a series of setbacks in previous events, including the women’s 500m, 3,000m relay and men’s 1,500m, in which athletes were either disqualified before the final or beaten by opponents.‎ In the highly charged women’s 3,000m relay final on Tuesday, Team China finished second after South Korea, but was later stripped of (剥夺) the silver medal after being penalized for a “cross track” (横切) violation in unclear body contacts with the host team before the finish line.‎ Chinese team head coach Li Yan appealed the ruling to the International Skating Union right after the final but the appeal was declined on Wednesday, citing as the reason that the appeal was filed (提出) past the limit of 30 minutes after a race.‎ ‎32.
