A Visit to the Great Wall 一、 学情分析 本课的学习对象是五年级的小学生,大部分学生能用一些简单的英语谈论一些简单的问题,而且本课是本单元的故事课,是在学生了解了北京一些著名的地方后开展的,是本单元前几课的一个总结和延伸。作为故事课,为了提高学的学习兴趣,教学过程中采用多媒体课件、图片呈现教学内容,创设情境,让学生在情境中掌握知识,并能积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。 二、教学目标 知识与技能 (1)能在老师的帮助下听懂并读懂故事。 (2)能朗读故事并在老师的帮助下表演故事。 学习策略目标: (1) 在学习中集中注意力,初步尝试各种阅读策略:寻读、略读、根据上下文猜测词义等。 (2) 对所学内容能主动练习和实践。 (3) 积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。 情感态度目标: (1)学生有兴趣听、读英语故事、积极参与各项活动等。 (2) 通过学习故事增强学生对历史文物的尊重和保护意识,提倡学生文明旅行。 三、教学重难点 教学重点 能够在老师的帮助下表演故事 教学难点 能够复述故事 四、教学准备 多媒体课件、光盘、练习纸 五、教学步骤 Class opening Step1、创设情境,导入新课 1.Free talk 出示天安门、故宫、长城和王府井大街的图片,然后提问: Where do you want to go? Why? Do you know where do I want to go?Guess.(板书:长城图片) What do you know about the Great Wall? 2. 导入: Do you want to visit to the Great Wall ?Today Jenny and Danny will go on a trip to the Great Wall. Let’s follow them to visit it .Show me your fingers and write the name together.(板书课题) Step2、新授 (一) 学习1-3幅图 1.Show some questions of picture1to picture 3: (1) How do they go to the Great Wall? (2) What do we call the Great Wall in China? (3) How old is the oldest part of the Great Wall? 2、Listen to the tape two times and answer these three questions. (二) 学习第4幅图 1、 Read picture 4 quietly, Find and Underline . What’s the Chinese saying about the Great Wall? (1) 理解问题的意思。 (2) 找出答案并画出来,并请同学到讲台前面指出来。 (3) 理解这句话的意思。并尝试背诵这句话。 (4) 出示有关长城的其它格言,拓展知识,引起学生的兴趣。 ① The Great Wall is easy to,men very hard.(长城易到,好汉难为) ② The Great Wall never fall,thousands of Yellow River flood.(万里长城永不倒,千里黄河水滔滔。) ③ Both inside and outside the Great Wall home.(长城内外皆故乡) (三) 学习第5幅图 1、出示课件,让同学们猜测Danny想做什么?李明想说什么?然后引出课文。 设计思路:发散思维,根据原有的知识做及生活经验预测故事,为理解故事做铺垫。 2.Read the picture 5 loudly with your partner. Talk about : Why can’t Danny draw or write on the Great Wall? How can we keep the Great Wall clean and beautiful ? 3、分角色读第5幅图。 (四)学习第6幅图. How does Jenny think of the Great Wall? What about you? Step3、Practice 1.Listen to the story. 2.Pair work. Read the story with emotion.. 3. Act in pairs 4. Read and fill in the blanks: This is the ___ ___.In China, we call the Great Wall “The__________ Great Wall”. It is very___ and ___. The oldest part is more than ______years old. In China, people say ”He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a ___ ___ ”If we visit the Great Wall, don’t ____ and ____ on it. Let’s keep it ____ and _______ ! 5.
