Unit 1　How can we become good learners? 第三课时　(Grammar Focus4c)—单元同步语法精讲精练 ►“by＋v.ing形式”表示“以，靠，借助，通过，用(某种方法或手段)” 达到某种目的或得到某种结果。对此方式状语提问，应用how。该结构常用 于回答“How do you”？或“How can I”？之类的问句。 eg：—How do you learn English？你怎样学习英语？ —By reading English newspapers and magazines.通过读英语报纸和杂志。 —How can I turn on the computer？我怎样才能打开电脑？ —By pressing this button.通过按这个按钮。 【拓展】by的其他意思 ①“by＋交通工具/方式名词”意为“通过……，乘坐……”，表示交通 方式。如by train/taxi/bus/bike/boat/plane，by land/road/sea/air等。 eg：He goes to school by bus every day.他每天乘公交上学。 ②“by＋时间名词”意为“在……以前，不迟于……”，表示时间。如 by now/then/next Friday/two o'clock等。 eg：You must finish your homework by 5 p．m.你必须在下午5点前完成 你的家庭作业。 ③“by＋地点名词”意为“在……旁边，靠近……”，表示 位置，此时可与beside换用。如by the lake/river/window/door等。 eg：Tom，come in and sit by me.汤姆，进来坐在我旁边。 ④by还有“经过”的意思。 eg：walk/pass/go by走过/经过/经过 ⑤“by＋反身代词”意为“独自，亲自”。 eg：by myself我独自，我自己 1．动名词作主语，此时谓语动词用第三人称单数形式。 eg: Learning maths well isn't easy.学好数学不容易。 【注意】此种结构也可改为“It's＋adj.＋to do sth.”。其中it是形式主语， 动词不定式是真正的主语。上面的句子也可以表述为： It's not easy to learn maths well.学好数学不容易。 2．动名词作宾语，一般放在某一及物动词或介词之后。 (1)后接动名词作宾语的动词有：finish, enjoy, practice, keep, stand(忍受) 等。 eg: I enjoy singing.我喜欢唱歌。 (2)动名词作介词的宾语，包括以介词结尾的动词短语，如：give up, be good at, take part in等。 eg: He is good at dancing.他擅长跳舞。 一、单项选择。 1．—_________ do you know so much about the UFO? —I usually get the information by using the Internet.
